On October 3rd, 2005 while Germany celebrated the 15th anniversary of its reunification, we set out to walk along the path once inscribed by the Berlin Wall that divided the city for 28 years. We began in the North near the location of the first urban East-West border-crossing at Bornholmer Strasse and ended 20-plus kilometers later close to the last urban crossing at Sonnenallee in the South.
